Hello Again

I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but I finally have some quiet time because Dave, the best husband ever, just took the kids out on a daddy date so that I could have some quiet time. Yea! My favorite thing! There have been a lot of things going on latley that I should have blogged about like Christmas and New Years and Kira's birthday to name a few. We had a wonderful christmas, and with it being Bryce's first it was so fun to celebrate and let him in on all the fun that is christmas morning. His favorite things were eating the wrapping paper and taking the girls gifts away from them:) The kids had so much fun giving gifts to each other and getting things from Santa and we all loved spending time during the season with our family that we love so much. My favorite thing during the season is checking the mailbox and we loved getting all of your cards and letters and seeing your cute families. Next was New Year's which is another one of my favorite holidays. I love getting up on January 1st with a new, clean year ahead of me to be better and do better. It feels so fresh that I could just eat it up. As I've thought about something that I could resolve to be better at this year it would be to put my Savior first. I just read the book "confessions of an unbalanced woman" and the title seemed perfect for me and I thought I would learn about how to balance my life, but it was really about putting first things first and allowing the Savior and his love into your life and how after that everything else just seems to fall into place. I like the sound of that! I need some unbalance in that perspective. Then on Jan. 2nd was Kira's 5th birthday. Now, I can't believe that I have a 5 year old and have been a mom for that long. It blows me away. It has been such an incredible adventure to share with her. She has grown into such a cute, fun girl and I love her so much. Kira is a beautiful artist and her bedroom wall is covered in all of her amazing drawings. She loves to play barbie dolls and to be the "mom" of them. She is so sweet and a great big sister when she wants to be and a stinker at other times, but all in all she is such a good girl. She loves other people and playing with her friends. She has made new friends so easily in this new place and I am amazed at her social skills. We have a school playground right in our backyard and one day she squeezed under our fence, with Kate right behind her, to play with some of the school girls that she had made friends with. I am so grateful to be her mom and to have such a wonderful little girl to spend my time with each day. Pretty soon she will be going to all day kindergarten, and while I am very excited about that!!!!:), I am going to miss her tons as well. So now that I've gone on and on I am done. I need to clean the house before the gang gets home because that is what I told them I would be doing. So, Bye. Oh, and bye the way, GO UTES!!!
