It's my 30th birthday!!! I wish I had a picture from my first real birthday to today, but I don't, so oh well. I am so excited to be 30. I thought it might be wierd, but it's not:) What a fun day. I watched my favorite movie this morning, got a shower before noon, gave myself a pedicure, had a visit from a good friend (jodi:)) who gave me my favorite body butter and some chocolate - yum, and had phone calls from friends and family. Then we met Dave and had dinner at Chili's and just hung out as a family. What could be better? Oh yeah, NYC is tomorrow! Now that just about is the best birthday ever. Yea! 30 is great!

digital scrapbooking is fun!
I love my new adobe photoshop elements. I know I've said that before, but it is so fun and relaxing to sit and scrapbook on it. So here are my first digital scrapbook pages. I'm not very good yet, but they just make me smile, so I thought I'd share.

A Good Laugh
I am having one of those days - stressed out because Dave is gone and I miss him and the house isn't selling as fast as I would like. Then I read an email with a hilarious story told by President Hinckley. Here is the link if you would like a good laugh.

So in the 5 short minutes that it took me to write my NYC blog, Kate decided to eat the markers. Yes, you heard me right. She ate off the tops of the markers. Plus, she colored all over her face. I tell you what. Mommyhood is a full time, never ending, watch your kids every second or they will eat markers kind of job, and despite my -cheesecake and movie watching to make me feel better today- day, I love it. Usually:)
NYC here I come!!!
I am so so excited! Dave is sending me to NEW YORK CITY for my 30th Birthday! I just had to share because I am SO EXCITED:) I am going with my mom and sister and we are going to see broadway shows and visit fun places and shop til we drop and more. I can't wait. This is just the best thing ever. (Insert squeal of delight here).

A New Bike
So Kira wanted a new bike for her birthday, which is in January with snow and cold, so we decided to get her one early and surprise her. She was so excited to get her brand new Barbie bike! She rode it around all night last night and had to show all of her friends. She is really good and hasn't even fallen off once (of course there ARE training wheels so you can see why) but she is really proud that she has been able to stay on. She keeps telling me how she LOVES her new bike and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I am jealous of the bike because it is SO SO cute. With pink and purple and flowers everywhere, even ON the wheels and IN the wheels and on the TRAINING wheels and there are tassels on the handles. I would've given my right knee cap to have a bike like this when I was little. She is so cute on it so I had to share.
Here is one of Bryce and his first taste of sweet potatoes. He really liked them, but then he wouldn't smile for me.
This was just cute of Kate, and Kira took the picture, so I thought daddy would like to see it.

Hi Dad:)
Hey Dave! Yes, our daddy has finally left us to go work in Brigham City and we miss him tons, so these pics are for you babe, to see what is going on at home. We love you lots. Love, us.
Kate eating raisins.
Here is Brycester lounging in his stroller.
Kira jumped in on the action too!
Here is the one of you and Bryce watching football. I know how you love his PINK bumbo:) And this is just a reminder that my birthday is on the 26th - I wouldn't want you to forget:)
Kate has been up since 2:00 and now it is 4:21. We are currently watching Hercules and I am listening to her babble on about something while wishing for the sweet release of...sleep. Oh, well. So, I decided to blog and I just wanted to say that I love reading everyone's blogs and catching up on your lives. I think this is the best invention ever. Okay so there are probably some better ones, but blogging is "super cool" as Kira would say. Well, I hope you are all sound asleep and having good dreams. Love, me.

A few of my favorite things
Dave just took the girls to the Drive-In (which happens to be one of my favorite favorite things - some free time) and since I am spending some time with me, I thought that I would write down some of the things that I love that make each of my days simpler, better and happier. Of course my family is at the top of the list, but this is more about what gives me my daily warm fuzzies. Ok, here we go in no certain order - just a list of randomness.
1. My new "Bumbo" - I got this $40 value for FREE!!! and it has been a lifesaver for my arms and sanity since I got it because I don't have to hold Bryce upright all the time:) He is in the "wanting to sit up and see everything stage", but he can't sit up yet, so now he can just sit next to me wherever I am or whatever I am doing like making dinner, cleaning the house, reading to the kids, etc. It is wonderful! (Oh yeah, and his happens to be pink! Hey, it was free, I wasn't about to complain:))
2. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. This wonderful invention saves my life almost every day. From crayon, paint and marker on the walls, table, counter, everywhere - to cleaning the tub and the bathroom sink. This baby is awesome!
3. A tall, ice cold glass of milk. This is my very favorite thing to drink. I LOVE milk. Dave has even offered to buy me my own cow because he thinks it will save money from all of the milk I buy every week. I agreed with him, but where would we put a cow?! We can never run out of milk because I have to have it avaliable at all times - morning, noon, night, snacktime - I actually crave it. I don't know what I'd do without it. 4. My Creative Zen V. Mine is actually white and orange and it is one of those guilty pleasures that I indulge in. I love to take this to the grocery store late at night when the kids are asleep and Dave is home from work, and I go and do the grocery shopping, not paying attention to anyone or anything but my shopping list and my music. It is so relaxing.
6. Potterybarn and Potterybarn Kids. I love the beautiful things that this brand produces. Of course I can never afford anything from here, but I love to get ideas from the catalogs, and sometimes, if you're lucky, you can find the same things at Wal-Mart or Target. (I love Target too. Wal-Mart, not so much).
8. Apple scented Dawn Dishwashing Liquid. This actually can persuade me to do the dishes because it smells so so yummy. I love when it bubbles up and spreads the apple smell throughout the kitchen. I know I'm a nerd, but it lights up my days.
11. Adobe Photoshop Elements is such a fun program. I love to create things and this lets me use my photos and digital scrapbooking stuff and put it together and it gives me the kind of satisfaction that you just get from your favorite hobbies. This is something I made with my photoshop program (I got the template from another person, but I put it all together myself and I am so proud:))
12. My Sensaria Coconut Body Butter. I get to put it on my footsies after a bath, or not, and spread it all over, and then I wear these cute little socks to keep it all in and make my feet baby bottom soft. I love it. The Cherry Almond and the Mango scents are great too. So that is my list. These are just a few of the things that make me happy and I wanted to share. And now I want to hear about all of your favorite things too.

A Weekend Away
This weekend we went to the cabin and it was so fun to just get away. We hiked and ate yummy food and watched movies and scrapbooked and just relaxed. I missed some amazing picture opportunities on the hike when the girls were playing with grandpa guy in the river, but here are some fun ones.
Kira showing off how many oreos she ate. Her "fort" is in the background.
Kate showing me her oreo.
Kate with grandma's ruined tape measure that Kira just had to "wash" in a bucket of water.
I think this arm guard off of the chair is suppposed to be hair, but she looked like a nun to me:)
